Telethon marks the end of a year of fund-raising with events such as the Telethon Toddle, Toyota Trek, the Telethon home and Dancing with the Telethon Stars raising money for charities such as the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research and the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre.

The money raised goes to help research and development against childhood diseases, and to help get new equipment for many of the children's hospitals.

This event is something very close to my heart.  If I can get anyone of our members to donate to this most worthy cause I will be extremely happy.
